Luggage: Making The Right Choice

When I first set out to travel the world it was pretty easy for me to choose luggage. That’s because there were only 2 options; a backpack or a suitcase. Nowadays there seems to a never ending variety of choices, which can make picking one a little tricky. It’s a good choice to have because it means we can buy the perfect bag for our travels, click this link to check out some of the options.

Before you start looking for the right bag, you need to think about what type of travel it’s for; hotels, camping, sports, adventure – and also how much luggage you’ll need to bring each time. Once you’re worked this out you’ll have a good idea of which luggage is best for you.

Duffel Bag

This is the type of bag I choose if I’m bringing along several big things, equipment or I just need one big bag to cram everything into. I like duffel bags because they’re lightweight, have huge amounts of space and can fit into any space because the material is soft and flexible.

Wheeled-Duffel

This convenient style of duffel bag still gives us huge amounts space for our things, The wheels make things easier because you don’t need to sling the bag over your shoulder or carry it by your side, this can avoid aches and pains when you’re on the road. The only negative point is that it can feel a little heavy and not as flexible because of the frame and wheels – I still think that’s a pretty good pay off because of the comfort.

Wheeled -Suitcase

This gives you a very convenient way to access your luggage and also to pack. You don’t want to have this suitcase if you’re planning to be on the move all the time. I like it because it’s strong, easy to transport, has a variety of sizes and protects your belongings. It’s the ideal luggage for people who will only be using taxis and planes, not made for public transport.

Backpacks

The backpack was my first piece of luggage I ever bought, I absolutely love them! When you’ve got a backpack you’re mobile and don’t need to fuss about dragging it behind you through mud or puddles. Backpacking is huge these days so when you choose your backpack there are plenty of choices. Make sure you try them on because there are backpacks designed for all body types, you’ll be surprised by just how comfortable they are!
