I absolutely love Florida and it has to be one of my favourite states in all of the United States, and it’s always good to have cheap Florida holidays there. I thought I would take this opportunity to write more about how I love Florida and what it is that makes it so special to me.
The Keys
This is an amazing place to visit and explore. The Keys are these amazing islands that are linked together by a series of bridges that run between them. Here there is some of the bluest water that you will ever see and some fantastic beaches to go with it. Swimming here is just divine and the Keys are a great place to let loose.
Disneyworld
It is not hard to see why people love Disneyworld. No other theme park on the planet can claim to have as much influence as Disneyworld does, after all it is the home of Disney. The entire city is based around this park and the rides and characters will keep you coming back as often as possible.
Space history
Florida is well known for its role in space travel and even has a part known as the “space coast” (or Brevard county to the locals). This is a great place to learn more about space exploration and the role that this place had in history. The Kennedy Space Center for example played a huge role in man taking his first steps on the moon. You can most certainly think and relive parts of that journey on the space coast.
The Everglades
Or the Everglades National Park is one of those unique places that makes Florida Florida. It is interesting because the Everglades are tropical wetlands that have their own unique set of flora and fauna. The best way to explore it is by boat and you can see amazing mangrove forests, swamps and even alligators. The Everglades is also very interesting due to the extreme weather events that happen here and you can see some very random objects scattered around from hurricanes. This adds to this exciting and unusual place.
Miami
Miami is great and is one of the things at the top of my list when it comes to Florida, there is no other city in the United States that has that “it” factor that Miami has. I love the huge mix of Latin American and American culture. There really is nothing better than getting down to South Beach and relaxing the day away. The food is also great with the Cuban influences and flavours to enjoy. My personal favourite is the Cuban sandwich, actually it is a tie between the Cuban sandwich and arroz con pollo. This is a beautiful spiced chicken and rice dish that I absolutely love. Miami has it all for me, the sun and beaches all in a beautiful relaxed and playful atmosphere.
