If you’ve been following my blog you’ll know that I’m always travelling, nearly every month I have to pack my case and get ready for my next trip. With over a decade of travel I’ve worked out what is absolutely essential for each of my trips, these are things which not only make life easier but also allow me to enjoy my time on the road even more.
The list could be huge but I have put down a few things which I think are more important than most travel items here. If I don’t bring any of these things with me I know my trip won’t be as good as it could be.
A Good Bag
I used to be of the opinion that suitcase was just a suitcase and that any old one would do, I mean they just hold your clothes right? Wrong. Once you get the best luggage possible you’ll never go for the cheap option again. A good suitcase is worth every penny and will last much longer than a bad case. It’ll be the best travel investment you make, protect your belongings, be easy to pull around and also have quality little compartments to store your things – get a good bag.
Electronics
In this day and age we have so many electronic items that make life easy for us. So make sure you have your phone and of course its charger, bring more than one because you don’t want to be stuck in the middle of nowhere unable to charge your phone. I always bring my laptop along for work but that’s a personal choice, if you don’t need to work I wouldn’t advise bringing it along. Adapters are essential too, so make sure you get a decent universal adapter which you can bring along to any country in the world. A multi plug extension lead is something which will help no end, if the plugs are in an inconvenient place you can use this and charge up all your tech at the sometime – this one will help you out big time.
The Odd Things
I have a little bag which I pack full of odd items that always come in handy. You might think this isn’t important but for me it is absolutely essential. In my odd bag I have; pens, hand sanitiser, sun cream, a few emergency dollars and other things such as wet wipes. You’d be surprised how much a bag full of the odd things will help you out.
