Chateau de Versailles

Famous globally, from London, Tokyo, New York to Paris. This powerful symbol of the French monarchy is a must-see when in Paris. Pre-purchase tickets along with your other Paris attractions tickets to avoid monstrous lines, as you could end up waiting for hours especially in the high season. The extravagant palace rooms, glimmering hall of mirrors and majestic gardens will leave you speechless with their beauty.  

Shakespeare & Co. Bookstore

This quirky and quaint little English bookshop is a wonderful place to relax and feel like a local in Paris. On a rainy day, there is hardly a better place to hide away and browse the extensive collection of books, many of which are second-hand. It’s a funky find on Paris’ Left Bank, situated conveniently by many great restaurants to enjoy a French meal afterwards.

Mosquee de Paris

This is a magical spot off the beaten path in the 5th Arrondissement, a mosque from the 1920’s with a luxurious bathhouse, or hammam inside. Make sure to call and book ahead of time, as they have different days for men and women to visit. You can enjoy mint tea and cous cous in the café, then luxuriate with a full spa experience in a gorgeous atmosphere.

Take a Paris Champagne Tour

If you’re a fan of the bubbly, there is no better place in the world than France to go on a champagne tour. You can get out of the city a bit and go on a regional tour, or stay in the city and enjoy one of the luxurious Paris champagne tours on the Seine river, from atop Montparnasse Tower, or any other number of iconic spots in the city.

Fontainebleau Palace and Park

This palace, an easy day trip from Paris, is steeped in history and will awe you with its impressive 13th century architecture and lush surrounding forests. It’s a great place to visit for both history lovers and nature buffs, as there are miles of hiking trails surrounding the towering palace.
