The Best Places To Visit In Canada This Year

From vibrant cities to breathtaking mountain ranges, Canada is a country blessed with diverse locations, this can make choosing your destination a little tricky for your holiday.

With so many great deals out there at the moment it’s never been easier to bag yourself a bargain Canadian adventure. But where should you go? I’ve ranked my top destinations below.

Quebec City

This beautiful city has a real European feel to it. Holidaymakers are wowed by the charms of the 17th and 18th century architecture. As you stroll down the cobbled streets you’ll breath in the smell of fresh bread and perfectly brewed coffee – if you close your eyes you could be in Paris.

Toronto

We always associate cities with being big, but I don’t think the word big does justice to the size of Toronto. Located in Ontario, a visit to this cosmopolitan city will take you around the world because there are little pockets of international culture; Greektown, Koreatown, Chinatown and Little India are just a few waiting to be enjoyed. I felt like I could really call myself a globetrotter after a week visiting Toronto. What makes the city even more appealing is the ease you can find a flight to Toronto for such a bargain – there’s no excuse not to go!

Vancouver

If you love the great outdoors then this is the destination for you – this city is all about getting outside. The locals here spend the majority of their free time skiing, surfing or walking in some beautiful parks. On top of all that Vancouver also has loads of attractions, such as museums and outdoor markets. Then there is the never ending list of quality hotels which give you the perfect place to unwind after a day of adventure.

Ottawa

It may surprise some of you that this is in fact the capital city. Ottawa certainly delivers for tourists and you’ll find something here for everyone regardless of tastes. Everyone who visits loves going to Notre-Dame Cathedral, it’s simply beautiful. If you like being outside then the Rideau Canal and outdoor markets are ideal.

Victoria & Vancouver Island

You’ll find plenty of French heritage in places like Montreal and Quebec, whereas in Victoria you’ll discover the country’s British roots. This is a popular destination for people who enjoy a tour around parliament followed by afternoon tea. If you’re like me then you’ll enjoy visiting the island’s wineries, of which there are plenty.
