Having great quality clothing is a huge investment that we don’t think about and often gets overridden by the thought that we could have some for less money. This is something that is worth having and will stay around for many years to come, but there are many more reasons to take the plunge and invest
Focus items
There should always be some items of clothing that you really invest in and I find that these are the simplest of items and are the cornerstone of a good wardrobe, these include:
- High quality shoes
- A nice coat
- Good quality t shirts
- Dark coloured jeans
- A suit and a tie to go with it
It lasts for years
I love it when I think about how long good quality clothing lasts for. It definitely looks almost as good as it did the day you bought it, especially if you take good care of it. I really enjoy the fact that I only really need to buy things once and then I don’t have to worry about it after that. This is also a great to actually save money in the long run, because you will most likely will pay less than buying a new one each year. So if you do happen to have the money, then some good clothes are a fine investment that I would recommend to anybody.
Cuts down on waste
Because you are not constantly buying new things you are helping to make a huge difference when it comes to waste and the environment. Instead of buying a new coat every year for 5 years, you simply buy one and reduce the waste over a long period of time. There really is nothing worse than throwing something away that you paid money for and we all need to move away from this throwaway culture that we have.
It looks better
To put it simply, better quality clothing looks and feels better than cheaper clothing. You may not think that there is much of a difference between two plain black t shirts, but when you put them side-by-side you will start to notice the huge differences in quality. It may happen that cheaper clothing looks good in the beginning, but after many washes it will not look anywhere as good as better quality clothing.
