Days Itinerary in Abu Dhabi

If you are looking for a short lay over in the UAE, like I just did. My recommendation would be to stay in Abu Dhabi. This city has a smaller airport, slower more laid back vibe and has great beaches and waterfront restaurants.

My day started off with a trip to Shangri-La beach. The beach has glaring white sand, crystal clear water and amenities like, cafe, chairs, and volleyball net.

After a quick swim and sunbathe we headed for Ferrari World. Being an amusement park lover and there being the fastest roller coaster in the world, it was a must see for me. It did not disappoint. After a short while there we then went on to Abu Dhabi water world. This place is rated as one of the top in the world. It was a blast and a great way to cool down in the high heat of the Arabian.

Next we moved to the Grand Mosque. This is a must. It is the 3rd largest Mosque in the world and is a stunning work of art and architecture. I got here around 5 for sunset and would say this is for sure the best time to have a look and take some photos.
From there we stopped in at the famous Emirates Palace. It’s the most expensive hotel to stay in in the UAE. Upon entrance you will see a gold bar dispensing ATM. And a nights accommodation will only set you back $6000.

By this time it was 7pm and we were feeling a bit peckish. So we cruised back to the place and cooked up a great Pilipino style dinner. After everyone had filled up it was time to head to Marina cafe to smoke some seisha. The cafe has great seisha, a stellar view of the city and good ice cream and Turkish tea. Relaxing here was a beautiful cap to a truly amazing
