When you think of Dubai the mind instantly thinks of super luxurious destination in the Arabian desert, your first thought isn’t that it’s a place for water sport lovers. The good news is that if you love having fun on the water then Dubai is a top destination for you!
I’ve been to Dubai on several occasions, each time I go back I fall more in love with this fantastic place. The last time I went in August I decided to try out all of the amazing water sports that are on offer – the reason for that was because Dubai is earning a reputation for being one of the best places on the globe for water sports.
Here are three water sports I think everyone should try in Dubai:
Parasailing
The chance to try parasailing was certainly a highlight of my trip to Dubai. If you don’t want to try all the strenuous options out there and get a great view then parasailing might just be the thing for you. I loved it because as you get higher when the speed boat goes faster, the views of Dubai are amazing. The rush at the beginning when you take of is incredible and then you instantly relax as you’re sailing through the sky.
Hire a Catamaran
When my friend suggested we check out catamaran Dubai I was instantly interested, I’ve been on many boats but not once on a catamaran. We had a couple of options, we could either have a lesson or just hire the boat for the day. We decided to do both, so after a quick lesson to show us how to use the boat properly we headed out for a few hours. It was great fun being on the water, good exercise and super relaxing!
Jet Skiing
This has to be one of the number one water sports in the world – if you haven’t tried it then I suggest you do! You can opt for a jet ski tour, which we did, and the guides know exactly the best routes and places to get great views. Having the power of a jet ski at your finger tips, being on the water and seeing some amazing sights makes for a great day out.
