I took these photos at the legendary Notre Dame de Paris, a gorgeous Catholic church in Paris, France. It was one of the first Gothic cathedrals to be built and has unbelievably intricate design, both inside and outside. It is well known for its frightening gargoyles and flying buttresses (it was one of the first buildings in the world to use the latter). Construction on the cathedral began in 1163. Several different architects worked on it and many design changes were made; it wasn’t completely finished until 1345. The ceilings inside are unbelievably tall, and its massive stained glass windows are breathtaking.
