Toronto is the largest city in Canada and definitely one of the most beautiful. It is full of things to do and see, and I absolutely love how diverse it is as a city. I relish every time that I am able to head back there, and so I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to share with you all what I consider to be the best things to do there. Enjoy the Sights and Sounds of Kensington Market

This is one of the most fun-filled and diverse neighbourhoods in all of Toronto. It has a bit of hipster bohemian feeling, which I absolutely love, and it reminds me a little bit of Brooklyn in New York. There is always plenty to do with a number of art galleries, cafes, shops, and restaurants here. Another great thing about the area is the abundance of live music events and festivals, particularly in the summer months. I would highly recommend finding an IHG hotel in Toronto that is near or in the area, as it is a great place to base yourself!
Visit One of the Many Museums
Toronto is bursting with museums and all of these are quite unique. My favourite is the Royal Ontario Museum, with its interesting exhibitions on the dinosaurs and the history of Canada, which are fascinating. Aside from this I really love the Bata Shoe Museum because it’s a refreshing take on a museum and exhibits footwear from all around the world. The museum boasts a collection of over 13,000 items from different points in history. I can guarantee that you have never seen a museum as unique as this one. There are many more museums in Toronto; you just need to go looking for them.
Catch an Ice Hockey Game
Canadians are a very passionate bunch when it comes to ice hockey and, if you are lucky enough to be visiting Toronto in the winter months, I would highly recommend attending an NHL game. The atmosphere is absolutely electrifying, especially with the locals supporting the Toronto Maple Leafs. The game is very fast and skillful with an aggression that you really can’t find in other sports (if at times a little violent). If it is the right season, you can naturally try out some ice skating and ice hockey yourself, which is a lot of fun.
Visit the Toronto Zoo
This is actually the largest zoo in all of Canada, and the main attraction is definitely the two giant Pandas that are on loan from China until this year. They are some of the most curious and playful creatures that you could possibly imagine, and I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to see them and was really fascinated by these beautiful creatures. There are also hundreds of other species in the zoo (around 400 or so) for you to enjoy too and the 1.3 million visitors a year are a credit to how great this zoo is.
