Maiden Voyage is meant for me to have a fun place to talk about travel, and is not intended to promote my freelance work. However, I want to mention that I do offer the following services.

Journalism and copywriting
My background is in journalism; in college, I interned at two magazines and was the editor-in-chief of a newspaper that served five colleges. Right out of school, I was a personal finance reporter for CreditCards.com. I have since been published in USAToday.com, Tribeza magazine, Texas Monthly magazine, ENVY magazine, About.com, Soundcheck magazine, Catalogs.com, and a variety of other websites and publications. I specialize in travel, lifestyle, and entertainment writing, but I am very versatile and have also written about topics ranging from Buddhism to birth order psychology to green funerals. In addition to blogging and journalism, I also have experience with marketing copywriting, with mediums such as SEO articles, promo emails, product descriptions, tag lines, product announcements, and newsletters.
Editing
As a seasoned editor and proofreader, I have worked with blog posts, news articles, a sci-fi novel, academic papers, doctorate dissertations, community newsletters, business brochures, and more.
