The craziest experience I had overseas

It’s always fun to talk to people about their craziest experiences or the wild and wonderful things that they have done. It’s never good to hear about how these people have no insurance, that is madness! Before you travel anywhere you should always have some super travel insurance. Check out if you’re looking for some fantastic rates. The craziest experience I have had overseas doesn’t involve trekking through mountains, swimming with sharks or eating some crazy food. The craziest thing I have done is throw myself of the tallest building in Macau, thankfully I had a bungee rope attached to me. This isn’t a normal bungee jump, it’s the highest in the world! What makes this plummet towards concrete even worse is that unlike other jumps, you are not jumping over a river or the sea, you are staring down at a concrete jungle. All around you all you can see are high rise buildings and casinos, there is nothing comforting about it at all. I am scared of heights, I know what you’re thinking – why do a bungee jump then? Well, it was for charity and I had no way of getting out of it, believe me when I tell you that all I wanted to do was turn around and go home for a good cry! it turned out to be one of the best experiences of my life but standing at the top looking down I would never believe that I would enjoy what was about to come.

Like I said before, it is the world’s highest bungee jump! It is over 223 meters high, yes, 223 meters high! I was told before I jumped that during my free fall I could reach speeds of unto 200 kilo meters per hour, that certainly didn’t settle my nerves at all. One thing that I should say is that the whole set up was very professional indeed, I didn’t feel unsafe about any of the equipment or anything else that was going on that day. The staff were very well trained and spoke a number of different languages. They did there best to get me through the whole ordeal, but my heart was thumping as if it was a yellow pages in a washing machine. So I suited up took my photos, pretended not be scared and shuffled out on to the deck. Watching people jump off one after another is certainly terrifying, what made it worse was that everyone looked so calm and collected as if the whole experience was like water off a duck’s back.

So it was my turn to jump, I shuffled on the ledge, it felt a little like people making me walk the plank. The guys made me wave for my photos, and then they gave me the 3 count 1,2,3, I though I wasn’t going to be able to jump but these guys are pros, they gave me a little nudge and off I went hurtling towards the ground screaming for my mother! It was such an amazing experience, one that I’ll never forget! Yes, i was scared and very nervous but wow it was amazing! Would I do it again? No. Would I recommend that everyone tries it once? Absolutely!
