The ebook sounds super interesting!
I don't really agree with what you say about Egypt coz I've been there 4 times and I'm moving there in 2 months and never felt unsafe. Last time I went to Cairo I was all alone and before I met new friends etc I spent a couple of days wondering in the city. I was stressed and tired and felt lonely, but never felt like I was in danger. Loved it. I totally recommend Egypt to all of you - just remember to wear appropriate clothes (nothing will happen anyway, but at least you won't be the center of the attention all the time)

Thanks so much for your feedback, Katie. I know some women who have had really bad experiences in Egypt, so I'm really glad to hear that Stephanie wasn't alone in having good experiences there! I'm still not sure that I like the idea of it being listed second for someone brand new to solo traveling, but I am happy to know that you didn't feel unsafe there. I hope to make it there to see the pyramids, and I'm not going to lie--I was nervous about going there--so I feel a little better about it now :)

Nice review - I'm looking forward to reading the ebook.

I just wanted to comment that, as a female who has travelled partially solo to Egypt (I spent several days on my own before joining a group tour, but also went off on my own while on the tour), I whole-heartedly agree with Stephanie's suggestion to visit. I had incidents of feeling uncomfortable and probably didn't always make the smartest decisions, but I never even came close to feeling unsafe. Having never travelled to a non-Westernized country before Egypt, it was eye-opening to see the role of women in society (i.e., men and women sitting in separate sections on a local ferry and standing in separate lines for the ATMs). Beyond that, the people I met were incredibly friendly and proud of their country and the culture and the history is simply mind-blowing.
