A One Day Transit In Heathrow

We have all had a long wait in an airport or had a 24 hour transit when we travel, and if you’re like me then you don’t find it too much fun. But today I am here to tell you about a great one day transit I had last week in Heathrow.

Landing in Heathrow with a one day transit can often lead you to think that venturing in to London for the night is a good idea, but you couldn’t be more wrong! Heathrow isn’t close to the city center and it will take a lot of effort to drag your bags around with you. If you don’t want to take public transport then you’re going to spend a lot of money on a car and waste a huge amount of time sitting in traffic. So I have a great solution!

The best thing to do is to check in to one of the great airport hotels in the area. Heathrow is one of the busiest airports in the world, so as you can imagine there are hotels for every budget. Here are 3 main reasons why I loved my one day transit because I stayed in an airport hotel.

Convenience

When I travel convenience is number 1. When you choose an airport hotel you can arrange for them to pick you up from arrivals, this means that once you’ve collected your bags you can be in your room within 20 minutes. Then there’s the return journey to the airport, because you’re staying so close there’s no rushing around in the morning to make sure you make the flight – this is down to the hotel, so you can have a leisurely breakfast at the hotel and take the short car ride there.

It’s Fun

When you go to an airport hotel you will often find that there are other people there in transit. A lot of people enjoy sitting at the bar chatting and watching the football. Another way you can have fun is by meeting one of the Heathrow escorts – I met an escort on my transit and it was such a great experience. Great company, great fun and very relaxing indeed.

Relaxation

When you travel you need the opportunity to relax and rejuvenate, there’s no better way to do that than making full use of the hotel facilities. I always make sure I hit the steam room to cleanse myself, then it’s a nice long swim followed by a massage. This makes sure that I am completely ready for the onward journey.

Have you ever had a stop over in Heathrow? I would love to hear your thoughts about it.
