Insider tips for your Universal Orlando trip

Universal Orlando is one of the best places to visit right now! In the past it was often overlooked for more famous theme parks in town, but Universal turned it all around and can now boast the best attractions within its gates.

Stay on site

Staying on site is obviously not the cheapest option out there but the little extra cost comes with some amazing perks. The on-site hotels are without question some of the best hotels in the whole area. If you choose to stay there you will get an early admission to the most popular attraction in town, Wizarding World of Harry Potter – it’s difficult to put into words how much of a massive perk this really is! You will also be given unlimited express passes for all of the rides in the park, this is also another massive perk and buying the express passes alone can work out more expensive than the room itself for a family of four or more.

Take in the sites

Nearly everyone rushes from ride to ride because they know they will have to wait a little while for the rides. If you have the express passes then this really isn’t an issue. Take your time and really savour just how much effort was put into the design of this fantastic park. There are some fantastic little areas where you can escape the crowds and relax; New York’s alleyways, Springfield waterfront and also the spectacular Jurassic Park Center.

Don’t forget to indulge in the snacks

One of my favourite parts of the whole experience was sampling the signature snacks that were on offer. You need to be ready to spend a lot once you are inside the park so please make sure you allow your budget to stretch to such things as, Duff Beer, British Food in the Potter restaurants and also giant lard donuts. You won’t find these things anywhere else in the world so leave some room to tantalise your tastebuds with Universal’s signature snacks.
