Wales guidebooksIt’s time for another travel giveaway! This time, I’m giving away five guidebooks for the country of Wales. I’ve been all over Scotland and England, but Wales is one part of the United Kingdom that I have yet to visit.

The books being given away are Alastair Sawday’s Special Places to Stay: Wales (pictured right). To enter, leave a comment below by January 22, 2012 telling me why you want to visit Wales. The winner will randomly be selected using random.org.

Wales has a gorgeous landscape, with mountains, coastal areas, many in large stretches of national parks. It also has many stunning castles. The country also has its own language, Welsh, which you may be lucky enough to hear spoken in the northern part of the country. Though don’t worry–all of the signs are also in English.

Don’t forget–leave a comment below by January 22 to be entered to win!

Why not head to the Visit Wales website for lots more inspiration about romantic breaks away?

Cool give away. I want to visit Wales, without a doubt for the castles. Search for castles photos and you’re bound to see a number of beauties from Wales!

You seem to be giving away books for places that I love and/or want to visit! I was seriously considering Wales this summer till I remember about the Olympics and decided to put it on the back burner for another year.

But thanks to some tour mates in Peru this past summer and watching loads and loads of Torchwood (BBC-A!), I’d love to visit Cardiff!

I have family in New Zealand but cannot afford to go and visit them. The Welsh scenery looks like it might be the closest match to NZ that I can get to so I’m really keen to get over there and see.

I’m in if you’re sending the book internationally :) As I always skip Wales and choose England and Scotland in my travels because I don’t find Wales as interesting, maybe this book could change my opinion!

I haven’t ever traveled to Europe, but I am going to go this Germany this Summer for the first time. I’ll be playing for a professional brass ensemble that tours, but I decided since i’m over here, I need to take this time to explore some new places overseas. Wales could be the perfect place for me!

I am planning a trip to Wales in May. I have always had a passion to visit this beautiful country and this will be my first trip. I am looking forward to it very much.

My ancestors left Wales to move to the American Colonies a few hundred years ago. I`m retired now & broke but, I would like to visit the land of my fathers once before I die.
