A Hostel With a Load of Character

This new hostel in the heart of Yerevan has more character then you can shake a stick at. With laid back, helpful staff and clean rooms (bathsrooms too) this hostel packs great value.

Coming in off the night train from Tbilisi we arrived at the Grammy around 7:30 am. We had sent them an email that we would be arriving early so they had prepared a room for us upon arrival. After a quick healthy breaky there, Sarah the cheery front desk girl gave us directions to check out some of the best sites around Yerevan.

The coolest thing about this hostel is the decor. It’s G’d up with a full bristish attitude. Everything from Abbey road posters to english style telephones and even an old jute box and piano. They have really created a cool modern look. The common area has lots of seating with games and cards to get to know the other travellers staying at The Grammy. Internet connection was free and great quality. If you don’t travel with a laptop or tablet they have 3 desktops for you to use. There’s also a kitchen and fridge if you want to get your Jamie Oliver on.

The beds were clean and comfy and the noise was kept to a minimum after 11pm, so getting rested is a breeze. The bathrooms were clean and the showers are hot and dandy.

If you want location, nice vibe and friendly staff the is the top choice in Yerevan.
