The human body is made up of roughly 60% water.  It is a vital resource to us and it only makes sense that we are more peaceful when we are surrounded by it.  If you are looking for a peaceful relaxing break this year head out on the water.

Narrow boating In The UK

A great water vacation is to try narrow boating on the canals in the UK.  There is over three thousand miles of canals and waterways for you explore.  You can spend your days gliding through beautiful nature and stopping at any small towns that may catch your interest.  There are plenty of rental companies and it is a great way to relax with family and friends.

Sailing Along The French Riviera

Chartering a yacht on The French Riviera is a relaxing way to vacation in style.  You can charter a yacht that comes equipped with a staff of people to run the boat as well as a chef to prepare fine cuisine for you.  There are plenty of different boats to choose from and many different rental companies to deal with.  Sailing is so common here that you actually have groceries delivered to your boat if you need them.  There are plenty of exciting ports to stop in as well.  You can watch the Grand Prix in Monaco, catch the film festival in Cannes, or stop and spend a relaxing day on the beach  St. Tropez followed by an exciting night on the town.   Or you can simply spend your time relaxing aboard your boat, working on your tan, and taking photos of the picturesque scenery.

 Surfing and Windsurfing In Morocco

Morocco has been a world class area for surfing and windsurfing for more than fifty years.  The best time of the year to be out on the water is between April and September.  Taghazout is a great place for surfing and it is a popular area for beginners.  There are lots of experienced instructors to choose from as well as rentals.  You can also get combination packages that include surfing and yoga on the beach. Mirleft has five fantastic beaches for surfing and they also have schools and plenty of accommodations near the beach.  Essaouira is a great place to try surfing and windsurfing and don’t forget to visit the Essaouira Citadel.

Kayaking In Fiji

Head to the south pacific and try kayaking.   You can learn the basics of kayaking in a day so don’t worry if you have never tried it before.  Fiji offers some wonderful places to explore by small boat.  The water is crystal clear, the beaches are sandy white and you will feel like you have entered paradise as you quietly paddle along the water.

Go On A Cruise Around Australia

Exploring Australia’s coast is a great way to see the country.  Australia is the world’s sixth largest country so there is plenty to see.  Cruise ships depart from the major ports of Brisbane, Sidney, Perth and Melbourne.   You can take excursions ashore to see exciting things like koala bear sanctuaries, the Sydney Opera House, Bondi Beach, or even take a couple day trip into the Great Outback.  You can also take excursions on smaller boats if you are interested in seeing small islands or The Great Barrier Reef.  Australia is also one of the best places for diving and surfing.
